Tattle Ear

Teach your children the difference between tattling and reporting. A tattle is designed to get someone in trouble. A report is for when a child really needs help. Give the children examples of each, and have them practice saying which is a tattle and which is a report. Explain that reports are all made to the teacher. Tattles can be made to the Tattle Ear.

If a child forgets and comes to you with something that is obviously a tattle, tell the child to go tell the Ear. Have the "Tattle Ear" in a special place in the classroom. It can even be on the wall.
